I am a lover of guns and many people have come to be seeking advice on the correct piece to purchase.

Both their personal or recreational needs.

I pride myself to offering great and truthful advice to makes sure that while purchasing a piece, one has all the information regarding it.

One of my favorites is the Glock 21, which despite its numerous benefits, also has a share of some problems that may be faced by the user.

Whilst this might be the case, I have a number of tips you can use to approach some Glock 21 problems.

Overview of the Glock 21

The Glock 21, is designed to fit your needs.

With a .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) and a 13-round capacity.

The Glock 21 is fitted with a higher caliber than that of the Glock 17 and Glock 19.

This offers a better grip and contributes to better and convenient shooting.

Let’s dive right in to some of the Glock 21 problems you may face!!

Check out Some of the Problems you May Encounter!

Problem 1: Trigger to reset

Picture this!!

You’re in the heat of competition or an emergency situation, adrenaline coursing through your veins as you aim for that perfect shot.

But as you squeeze the trigger, instead of the crisp reset you’ve come to rely on, there’s nothing but mushiness and uncertainty.

That split-second delay feels like an eternity, throwing off your timing and rhythm, and causing your shot placement to suffer.

It’s a frustrating reminder that even the smallest hiccup in your trigger can have a significant impact on your performance.

While using my Glock 21, I noticed a time lag from one shot to another where the trigger took a while to spring back to its initial position for its next shot.

This may be frustrating especially in emergency situations where you require consecutive shots.

Solution

After noticing this problem, the first thing was to check for any wear damage which can easily be fixed by replacing the damage parts.

I checked the lubrication needs which can affect the trigger movement and consecutively ensured that the piece is well lubricated for smooth operation.

The trigger spring plays a crucial role in resetting the trigger and therefore, inspect the trigger to make sure that there is no damage to it which may be causing the reset issue.

Problem 2: Failure to Feed

There’s nothing quite as unnerving as feeling that jolt of anticipation, only to have it shattered by the dreaded click of a failure to feed.

It’s happened to me during a critical moment at the range, and I’ll never forget the frustration and disappointment that followed.

Not only does it break your rhythm and focus, but it plants seeds of doubt about the reliability of your firearm.

In a real-life scenario, a failure to feed could mean the difference between life and death, leaving you vulnerable and scrambling to rectify the issue.

That’s why ensuring your gun feeds flawlessly isn’t just about convenience; it’s about trusting your equipment with your safety and security.

Feeding from the magazine to the chamber is can be regarded as the most crucial operation in a gun and can be frustrating when it does not occur smoothy.

This is one of the challenges I faced with my Glock 21 and some of the solutions you may consider include the following;

Solution

To address a failure to feed issue in a Glock 21, first, ensure that the magazine is properly seated and contains clean and undamaged ammunition.

Secondly, inspect the feed ramp and chamber for any obstructions or fouling that may be impeding the feeding process.

Finally, consider testing the handgun with different types or brands of ammunition to determine if the issue is related to ammunition compatibility.

Problem 3: Malfunction of the Magazine

Magazine malfunction causes the feeding issue in the firearm which causes it to malfunction or rather, causes it not to function properly.

Once I noticed this, I mistook it for an incompatibility issue which is not always the case as you may have the correct ammunition and still face the same problem.

Solution

To address magazine malfunctions in a Glock 21, first, inspect the magazine for any visible damage, such as cracks or dents, and ensure that it is clean and free of debris.

Secondly, check the magazine spring to ensure it is not worn out or damaged, as a weak spring can cause feeding issues.

If the problem persists, try using a different magazine to determine if the issue lies with the specific magazine or with the firearm itself.

If necessary, consider replacing the malfunctioning magazine with a new one to restore reliable function to your Glock 21.

A Review of the Glock 21

As someone who has relied on the Glock 21, I can confidently say it’s a beast of a handgun.

Its .45 ACP punch instills a sense of confidence in any situation. I have found it surprisingly comfortable to handle due to its large frame with an ergonomic grip that feels like an extension of my hand.

While it may not be the most compact for concealed carry, its performance and ease of use more than make up for it.

In my experience, despite its flaws just like any other firearm, is a great companion for your duty or personal needs.

Our Glocks aren’t just tools; they’re trusted companions that stand by us in moments of peril and triumph.

They embody our commitment to safety, security, and self-reliance, serving as silent sentinels in our defense.

By caring for them diligently, we honor the bond we share, ensuring they’re always ready to stand guard, steadfast and true, when we need them most.

Following the tips above may be nothing short of a gamechanger!!!
